Whilst we are aware that you are all looking forward to getting out and about and returning to us at some time in the future, we are also looking forward to welcoming you back to The Royal hotel very soon.
Throughout your stay
Our aim is to provide an environment where everyone has peace of mind, therefore following government guidance, we have put in place a programme of cleaning and social distancing measures in order to ensure our guests and staff teams feel safe.
The following programme is the basis of our new way of working:
Cleaning and hygiene
- Hand sanitiser stations are located in key locations throughout the hotel
- Key surfaces within bedrooms as well as main contact points will be sanitised prior to arrival and again on departure.
- An increased cleaning frequency of high touch and contact points in public areas has been adopted
- Staff complete daily enhanced cleaning and hygiene regimes
Social Distancing
- Public area “Flows” have been created.
- We follow a 1 metre “PLUS” principle.
But advise 2 metre distancing where possible.
- Floor safety tape denotes preferred distances in certain areas.
- Staff members may wear masks and gloves. You are welcome to do the same.
- Protective screens are located at hotel reception and bar counters.
- Dining and breakfast tables are suitably distanced.
- Buffets and carvery’s have been temporarily reassessed.
- Some Menus simplified.
Contactless Measures
- Housekeeping will NOT enter your bedroom during your stay
- Disposable cups and stirrers are provided in bedrooms as well as dining areas
- Contactless payment is available.
- Additional bedroom supplies and a towel exchange can be ordered each morning by 11am.

The Royal Hotel is an elegant 19th century hotel which over time has seen an ongoing programme of renovation and improvements to ensure that this magnificent property is well maintained and provides attractive facilities for our many guests.
The Royal Hotel is conveniently located within easy walking distance of Skegness’s leading attractions, including seaside location, sandy beaches, attractive gardens, easy shopping and great entertainment.The hotel is situated between South Parade and Drummond Road, just a few minutes’ walk from both the Clock Tower and the Beach.
It also provides an ideal base for exploring the Lincolnshire coast, attractive market towns and countryside of the Lincolnshire Wolds, within easy reach of the county market towns of Louth, Spilsby and Horncastle, Boston (home of the Pilgrim Fathers) and historic Lincoln with its ancient castle & cathedral.

The Royal Hotel has an excellent reputation for being warm, friendly, comfortable and relaxing and is justifiably proud of our position as one of the finest hotels in the resort.
The Hotel comprises 70 bedrooms, all of which are en-suite with bath and shower or shower room only, tastefully decorated, with comfortable beds to ensure a good night’s sleep, also fitted with a remote controlled flat-screen television with Freeview, direct dial telephone and hot drink making facilities (including complimentary quality teas & coffee). DVD players are available from reception subject to availability.
All rooms are non-smoking, some with balconies, others with sea views, some located on the ground floor:
- Single Rooms start from only £55 including breakfast
- Double Rooms start from only £84 including breakfast
- Special rates are available for extended stays
We offer two bars, extensive gardens, well-equipped games room, function room, reception services available around the clock and extensive FREE off street parking for cars and coaches.
The Royal is totally non-smoking and offers FREE Wi-Fi in public areas.

No matter what time of year, the Royal is always welcoming. In the spring and summertime, enjoy our attractive seaside facing gardens. The spacious, sunny grounds with attractive seasonal flower displays and outdoor tables offering a sun trap and perfect location for al fresco food and drinks with friends and family. Why not enjoy a light meal, pint of real ale, gin and tonic, range of soft drinks or bottle of wine.
In the autumn and winter as the days draw in, escape from the cold to lose those seasonal blues with the warm hospitality, inviting atmosphere and cosy conservatory & lounge overlooking the gardens.

The Royal Hotel is an elegant 19th century hotel, constructed in the year of 1890.
Possessing a chequered past, the hotel has been a Victorian school, Royal air force convalescent home, hotel on several occasions, second world war communications centre and Victorian spa baths to name but a few!

Now once again firmly established as a hotel, it offers the perfect setting to indulge yourself with fine food & wine whilst relaxing in a friendly and homely atmosphere.
